Instructions for OnePlus devices

WARNING: Your run tracking will not work properly if these settings are not configured correctly. Please follow the instructions carefully.

To ensure your Wings for Life World Run app works on race day, follow these setup steps for your OnePlus device:

Basic Settings

• Keep the app in Recent Apps without swiping it away during race day
• Disable battery optimization:
  • Go to System Settings > Battery > Power saving settings > App battery management > World Run > Optimize battery use
  • Select "Don't optimize"

• Lock the app to prevent termination:
  • Open recent apps (swipe up and hold)
  • Open settings in the upper right corner
  • Tap the Lock button

Advanced Battery Settings

For OnePlus 6 and newer devices:

• Turn off Advanced optimization:
  • Go to System settings > Battery > Power saving settings
  • Disable "Sleep standby optimization"
